Production Process of Book Cover Wing-Folding Machines

Jun 16, 2026 ترك رسالة

The production process for book cover flap-folding machines centers on the folding and shaping of book covers; the primary objective is to transform flat cover materials-in accordance with specified dimensions and structural requirements-into finished covers with flaps, doing so both stably and efficiently.

After being cut and aligned, the cover paper or laminated material is fed into the machine's processing zone via an automatic feeding system. During transport, suction wheels or belt conveyors ensure the material enters the folding station flat, preventing misalignment or wrinkling.

Before reaching the flap-folding zone, the machine precisely positions the paper using mechanisms such as registration guides, photoelectric sensors, or mechanical stops, ensuring the flap placement matches the preset dimensions. This step directly determines the symmetry and aesthetic quality of the finished cover.

The flap-folding process is the core operation. The machine uses folding blades, pressure rollers, or folding plates to crease and fold the cover edges, creating uniform flaps along the left/right or top/bottom sides. Precise control of pressure and folding angles is required to ensure crisp creases without damaging the paper surface.

The final stage involves pressing and output: the folded covers pass through pressure rollers to set the shape and ensure the creases are firm and flat. Subsequently, a conveyor system automatically discharges and neatly stacks the covers, preparing them for the binding process. This entire workflow enables continuous, standardized production, effectively enhancing both efficiency and consistency in book cover manufacturing.
